IPL is "THE" most thrilling tournament on this planet and match by match the suspense and delight only seem to be increasing. IPL has a special way of raising the excitement, as soon as the second half of the tournament arrives it seems like every match is a knockout match and just when you think it can't get any more exciting you start having double super overs.
IPL Match No.40/ between SRH and RR is going to be a big knockout match according to the current calculations for playoffs. The match will be held in Dubai and both the teams stand a great chance to win the match. RR have won 4 out of their 10matches and are surviving every day to qualify in the top 4 race while SRH faces the same outline with 3wins in bag out of 9, they need to win all the rest matches to qualify to assume the fact that MI and DC will qualify with more than 8 matches in their bag at least.
If RR wins the match they move to no.5 with 5wins in 11 matches ahead of KXIP who have won 4 out of 10. If SRH wins the match they move to no.5 with the help of their net run rate and stand ahead of KXIP with 4wins in 10matches. Further, the chances for CSK and the team that loses will almost perish to qualify for playoffs. With such an exciting match ahead there's a lot to talk about the team that has the stronger lineup and who can probably win.
To start with a simple line, I think RR stand as favourites and most likely to win. SRH has a steady team lineup but RR can surprise them in many ways. With a bowler like Jofra Archer, it's a confidence booster for the side although they have a very poor bowling lineup so does SRH with their lead bowler Rashid Khan on the go the rest looking not so promising for such a big match. Natrajan has been the highlight of the season for SRH but performing in big matches against the likes of Steve Smith, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes is something very very different.
SRH has a steady batting lineup with David Warner and Jonny Bairstow being their top order and Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey in their middle order. But the problem seems to arise while chasing a big total. With no consistent hitters or finishers in the side, the role has been shifted through a lot of players which has created chaos for Hyderabad. While RR seems to have the upper hand with Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag coming down the order and their ability to hit big sixes makes it even lethal. All in all, it'll be a close match for sure but only the team that'll handle situations better than the other will win the match. Let's see!
