Apple opens its first "floating" retail store in Singapore

Apple, on Thursday, opened its first floating retail store at Marina Sands in Singapore. It is the first Apple Store to settle directly on the water and seems like a sphere floating on the Marina Bay. The store is completely enclosed by water and uninterruptedly offers 360-degree panoramic perspectives of the town and its eye-catching skyline. The sphere may be a first-of-its-kind, all-glass dome structure that's entirely self-supported and contains 114 pieces of glass with merely 10 narrow vertical mullions for structural connection.
Apple Marina Bay Sands has an underwater boardroom as well that can be seen on the lower level of the store. The Forum is centred around a Video Wall, which will assist the stage for "Today at Apple" sessions calling attention to Singapore’s artists, musicians, and creators. The team at Apple Marina Bay Sands incorporates 148 people who altogether speak over 23 languages. Apple remarked that visitors visiting the store will experience a spectacular unfold into the enormous volume of the dome where they will be able to seek curated Apple products and accessories. They will also acquire personal technical assistance from Geniuses.
The store will enforce similar demanding health measures for both staff and visitors as noticed across all Apple Store locations, involving a mask prerequisite, temperature reviews, and social distancing. It is Apple’s third retail store in Singapore. Apple's first store located at the Knightsbridge building along Orchard Road, Singapore was inaugurated in 2017. Its second store opened in July last year is located at Jewel Changi Airport.
