After almost 2 weeks of suspense and drama, it was finally declared that Ronaldo will be not fit and miss to play against Barcelona. While Ronaldo missed the match, Barcelona took the charge scoring 2 goals against the Italians one which included Messi's penalty.
Messi set up the tone nicely for Barca by giving Ousmane Dembele in the lead making their first goal while he added the second one during the stoppage time. Alvaro Morata's hat trick would've saved the match for Juve unless they all turned out to be just offside. Amidst the offside trouble continued Juve played their last 5 minutes with only 10 men due to Merih Demirals yellow card. With this win, Barca now leads Group G with six points and Juventus on three with two games down. Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman thinks that this was their best game this season.
Andrea Pirlo Juventus new coach said in his statement that he knew it was going to be a tough match and they had more experienced players than us while we are still under construction. "We need to grow. I hope to have the other players back soon. I have no other solutions, those who play have to stay 90 minutes, so it's difficult when there are matches close together." He added.
Star player Ronaldo missed the contest as he was unable to test negative 24 hours before the game. Ronaldo is the highest goal scorer in the history of the competition with 130 goals. The last time when two of them faced each other was back in 2018 and ever since then, fans have been waiting to see them in action against each other. Fans hope to see Ronaldo back on the field again and will be waiting eagerly to see Messi vs Cr7 until then the wait continues.
