According to a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhawan resignation of union council minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal has been accepted with immediate effect.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal is a popular politician of 'The Shiromani Akali Dal' in Punjab and was one of the union council ministers of Food Processing Industries until today when she sent her resignation to the President of India Ramnath Kovind. According to the statement provided by Rashtrapati Bhawan after the advice is given by Prime minister Modi, the resignation of Harsimrat Kaur has been accepted by the President of India with the immediate effect. She tweeted about her reason for resignation. According to former union council minister,' she has resigned from the Union Cabinet in protest against anti-farmer ordinances and legislation and she is proud that she is standing with farmers as their daughter and sister.'Her tweet made it very clear to everyone as 'the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance & Farm Services Bill 'and 'the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill 'were passed by Lok Sabha on Thursday during the session.

These reforms will accelerate the growth of agriculture through the private-sector investment in supply chains for Indian farm produce in national and global markets, in building agricultural infrastructure and will create employment opportunities that will strengthen the economy of the nation.
