Farm bills are a huge topic of discussion in the field of politics from the resignation of a union minister to ministers performing a standout and violating some very major rules of the honourable house.
Many ministers are opposing the two major bills the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, and Farmer's Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 were passed by the Rajya Sabha on Sunday by the use of the verbal vote. A known minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from her post by standing against this bill and now many MPs are voicing their opinions regarding this bill. The situation got worse when Mr. Narendera Singh Tomar decided to answer the concern of opposition parties and ministers regarding this bill.
Some MPs were not here for his explanation and later started chanting against the bill, later the situation got out of hand as one of the known ministers Derek O'Brien, MP of Trinamool Congress went to Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh's podium and tried to tear the honourable rule book. Day after that whole ruckus chairperson Mr. Venkaiah Naidu suspended 8 ministers who were involved in rules violating ruckus Derek O Brien, Sanjay Singh, Rajiv Satav, KK Rajesh, Ripun Bora, Dola Sen, Syed Nazir Hussain, and Elamaran Kareem who refused to leave the house. This was a great issue in terms of parliamentarian rules.
