Here is what great invention Facebook and Ray-Ban are working together for!

The declaration made during the lately held Facebook Connect virtual conference disclosed that the social media giant, Facebook, is working with Luxottica, the maker of Ray-Ban, with the aim to introduce the first smart glasses in 2021. Facebook and Luxottica will make smart glasses as part of a multi-year partnership and the glasses will be marketed as a Ray-ban-branded product.
During the Facebook Connect event Zuckerberg said that after spending time with EssilorLuxottica’s team and visiting their factory, he knew that they were the right partner for them in helping to bring the best technology jointly with the best glasses. The glasses will not have an integrated display but may emphasize a voice-assistant and will function by pairing them with a smartphone. In simple words, the smart glasses will work- just like Snap Spectacles or Amazon Echo frames.
Facebook’s partnership with Luxottica is distinct from the company’s Project Aria research prototype, a pair of AR glasses. The company lets out that it will initiate testing Aria glasses in public and around its campus starting this month.
They will amalgamate innovative technology with fashion-forward style and help people better connect with friends and family. Further, Facebook hasn't conveyed more information yet about the product regarding what they will be named, or how much they might cost.
