“Kejriwal should stay out of Punjab and specialize in his own state”- Punjab CM warns Kejriwal

By Ankita Mohanty

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Thursday warned his Delhi counterpart Mr. Kejriwal against trying to require advantage of the pandemic to instigate people in Punjab’s villages, which he said, have witnessed a spurt of faux news and provocative videos, a minimum of 1 among which emerged presumably from Pakistan and travelled here through a member of AAP ( Aam Aadmi Party).

The alleged Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker, Amrinder Singh, has been arrested and is being questioned to work out who motivated him to circulate a post that misleads the people of Punjab into thinking that organs of dead Covid-19 patients were being removed by the state Health Department.

The Chief Minister said that the video or post propagated by the AAP worker risked the health and safety of individuals as they hesitated to urge their treatment done by the health officials. consistent with him, this happens to be a transparent case of calculated criminal conspiracy, keeping in mind that there have been enough indications of a huge plot by elements “inimical to the interests of Punjab”.

Kejriwal’s announcement during the viral campaign, asking AAP workers to roam around villages and streets of Punjab checking for people’s oxygen levels, raised serious questions on the role of his party within the alleged conspiracy, said Amarinder. He has firmly asked Kejriwal to remain out of Punjab and specialize in managing the COVID-19 situation in Delhi, which seems to be worsening with recent times. He has requested the Delhi CM to prevent dallying with “anti-India forces from across the border” which seem to pose a significant threat towards Punjab’s integrity and security.

Meanwhile, the accused AAP worker, Amrinder Singh a resident of village Mishriwala in Ferozepur, has been arrested under sections 66 IT Act, 54 DMA, and 153 IPC for circulation of false and misleading posts on social media platforms.
