All the winners from the Primetime Emmy Awards live broadcasted in Downtown Los Angeles from the Microsoft Theater.

An eccentric feel-good show Schitt's Creek appeared as one of the biggest winners, sweeping seven Emmys, as well as the best comedy series and acting awards for Canadian stars. The Organizers of Award Show said it was the first time in 72 years of history of Emmy Awards that a comedy series won all seven categories in the same year.

The “Schitt's Creek” winners got their prize delivered to a restaurant in Ontario, Canada, where they had to assemble to celebrate, by a man dressed in a custom black & white hazmat suit, specially designed to look like a tuxedo.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to no red carpet and no physical audience for the award show. Instead, the producer delivered the microphones and camera kit to all the nominees, located in 125 places around the world, who chose where and in which manner they wanted to be seen.
