The Aditya Chopra directed movie "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" has completed its 25-years in Bollywood film industry. The famous on-screen Jodi Raj and Simran are considered to be the pioneers of the romantic era in Bollywood.

Withstanding the test of time, the love story of Raj and Simran is still fresh in the hearts of viewers making them rewatch it times and again. Wrapping up a soft-focus on romance in a stiff frame of patriarchy, the love story of "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" unfolded in the tulip gardens of Europe and mustard fields of Punjab 25-years ago and went on to become a vogue classic that combined desi sensibilities with a touch of NRI delicacy.

With the most popular on-screen Jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol down the decades, the movie is one of India's most successful attempts of Romantic films in Bollywood. The story of two traditionalist lovers who love each other desperately and will get married only with the acquiescence of their parents released on screens on October 20, 1995.

India then found a definition of romance in the words DDLJ. The movie grounded on the traditional family values and the modern values of individualism. The story of a rich carefree guy Raj falling in love with a girl Simran bound in the cuffs of patriarchy, family values and commitment with a boy he never met in Europe. Raj promises not to marry the girl without the permission of her parents.

The movie is shot in breathtaking locations with the amazing soundtracks by Jatin-Lalit and Anand Bakshi to suit every mood of the viewers. And the legendary dialogues by the incredibly gifted legends of Bollywood like Amrish Puri, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Anupam Kher and Farida Jalal and more have become even more popular in this digital age. This legendary movie may be completing years but it will never be the end of the era.
