Mumbai: Minor assaulted by RTI Activist cousin!

A lawsuit has been filed against an RTI Activist for he raped his 17-year-old cousin. The complaint has been lodged at the Malwani Police Station, Maharashtra on the 3rd of November, Tuesday after the victim disclosed the incident to her mother.

In Mumbai, a lawsuit has been filed against a town-established RTI activist as he raped his minor cousin of 17 years. The culprit has disappeared. The officials have reported that the victim and her mother had filed a judicial lawsuit against her 30-year-old cousin who is also an RTI activist.

The man had raped her in their household located in the outskirts of Malwani. The victim’s mother brought her to the Malwani Police station after she disclosed the entire incident to her. A lawsuit was filed against the culprit. Nonetheless, the police didn't report about the timing of the criminal incident.

Jagdev Kalapad, the Senior Inspector of Malwani Police Station stated that the Police authority has filed the lawsuit against the culprit under Indian Penal Code section 376 (attempt to rape) and pertinent sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The search for the criminal is ongoing.
