Pay this much if you use the phone while driving

The Government of Uttar Pradesh under the guidance of CM Yogi has done certain changes in the new Traffic Rules especially for the people who are extra careless and often break the Traffic Rules.

Now if you are riding a bike without a helmet or do not use the seat belt while driving a car, a significant amount of money could be imposed on you as fine for violating traffic rules.

The penalty of ₹500 is now doubled to ₹1000 if found riding a two-wheeler without a helmet or driving without a seatbelt on.

The highlight of the changed traffic rules is that earlier if a person was found using a phone while driving, the penalty of ₹1000 was levied which has now increased to 10 times i.e. ₹10,000. This drastic increment has been done due to exceeding cases of excessive usage of mobile phones while driving. Another Penalty rule incorporated is of ₹10,000 on hindering or blocking the path of the emergency services' vehicles such as Ambulance or Fire Brigade.

If a car is parked in a No Parking Zone, the fine of ₹1500 shall be levied which was 3 times lesser earlier.

Besides these, the following are the penalties that could be levied :

• ₹1,00,000 (One Lakh Rupees): If someone is found illegally trading vehicles.

• ₹10,000 (Ten Thousand Rupees) : If someone is found tampering the original details in the Driving License.
