PM Narendra Modi said that Durga Puja reflects strength and unity, during the virtual inauguration of Maha Shashti.
Durga Puja is said to be the biggest festival of the state. PM Modi addressed the citizens while doing the inauguration of a 5-day celebration. The Prime Minister attended the first day of celebration virtually. He appreciated the citizens of Bengal and said whenever India needed someone citizens of Bengal were always there to show the path and lead the way and many known people from Bengal have contributed a lot to this nation. He added that if he started taking names of those talented people the day will end but the list of names won't. He focused on the festival and said that Durga Puja reflects the strength and unity of India and reflects the culture and tradition that comes from Bengal.
He also talked about women empowerment and said that women are the symbol of Maa Durga and they are working for women empowerment through various schemes and policies.BJP worked especially on the aspect of reach and screened PM's speech at various platforms. PM Modi didn't miss the opportunity to make people aware and requested them to take precautions during this pandemic as the festival season is going on. Citizens were happy that the Prime Minister addressed and appreciated the citizens of Bengal but Political eyes are seeing this as an opportunity. According to several Political leaders, PM Modi's address has a political agenda. According to them, this is the time when one can have the largest reach to people.
