Shameful: On Independence Day, Senior Congress leaders put up India’s Map without Kashmir
The controversy sparked after two senior Congress leaders shared India’s map without Kashmir in their Independence day’s wishes. In two separate incidences, two senior Congress leaders put up India's map without Kashmir in their Independence day’s wish.
President of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress, Adv. Pratima Coutinho, shared a wrong map of India without Kashmir while wishing Independence Day, similarly sitting Congress MLA from Kerala and Congress Secretary, Shanimol Usman also shared Map of India without Kashmir.
Later when highlighted Pratima Coutinho said it was a mistake and tendered an apology. She said it was the mistake of her designer who copied the post of Varad Mardolkar, President, Goa Youth Congress.
Similarly, Shanimol Usman removed the post with the wrong map and posted Independent Wishes with the correct map on her official Facebook page.
People on social media demanding legal actions against leaders and also raising doubt that this can’t be a sheer coincidence that such senior leaders of Congress are posting the wrong map on the eve of Independence Day, particularly, when China is showing aggression on the North-East border and Pakistan is supporting anti-India elements on Article 370 issues, so people expect the response from Rahul and Sonia Gandhi on this matter. Recently, Nepal, on the provocation of China, also revised its official map showing some part of India on its map.
It is to be noted that Pratima Coutinho, President of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress, has also faced criminal charges for revealing the identity of the mother of the victim of molestation and also for hurting religious sentiments in a separate case.
