Actor Sonu Sood has been making news almost every day with his philanthropic ventures amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The Dabangg actor recently announced accommodation for 20,000 migrant workers in Noida, UP. The actor posted about the same on his Instagram handle on Monday. He also said that the workers would be provided with jobs in garment units in Noida through the ‘Pravasi Rojgar’, a free app for online job search across the country, launched by the actor himself.
“I am delighted to now offer accommodation for 20,000 migrated workers who have also been provided jobs in garment units in #Noida through #PravasiRojgar. With the support of #NAEC President Shri Lalit Thukral, we will collectively work round the clock for this noble cause @pravasirojgar”, wrote Mr. Sood about his new offering to migrants in search of employment.
The actor has been helping stranded migrant workers reach their home states, a facility he bears the expenses for, ever since the lockdown has been imposed in the country. Mr. Sood and his team have also launched a toll-free number and a WhatsApp number to enable helpless migrants to contact them.
