Tabu is one of the presenters at TIFF 2020

Indian actress Tabu has been announced as one of the presenters for the Tribute Awards at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. The ceremony will be broadcast on 15 September 2020 during the prestigious film Gala's 45th edition.
The actor Joins global, who is 45 years old stars Colin Farell, Jodie Foster, Olivia Colma, Regina King, Delroy Lindo and Ava DuVernay, a filmmaker as presenters for the awards in the ceremony. The festival organizer had announced in advance that veteran actor Anthony Hopkins, director Chloe Zhao and Mira Nair will be honoured at the Tribute Award Ceremony.
Nair and Tabu, who previously showed in 2006 feature “The Namesake”, recently collaborated and worked together for the filmmaker's BBC series “A Suitable Boy”. The director will be grateful with the Jeff Skoll Award in impact Media in the Award show ceremony, while Actor Hopkins, an Oscar winner for “The Silence of the Lambs”, will receive a TIFF Tribute Actor Award.
TIFF Ebert Director Award will be recognized to the director of Indie hit “The Rider” and upcoming “Nomadland”, Mr. Zhao. Kate Winslet will also receive a TIFF Tribute Actor Award announced by festival earlier. Composer Terence Blanchard and Director Tracey Deer will also present in the Ceremony. Filmmaker Chaitanya Tamhane's “The Disciple”, set in the world of Hindustani classical music, follows a young vocalist is also a part of the festival.
The awards honour the film industry's outstanding contributors and their achievements, recognizing in different media profile such as acting talent, directorial expertise, new talent etc. The festival, runs from September 10 to 19, will end with A Suitable Boy of Nair.
