Tamil Comedian Actor Vadivel Balaji Passed Away At 45

Vadivel Balaji died on Thursday, 10 September 2020, at the age of 45. He was a famous Tamil comedian and mainly known for his work on the channel Vijay TV. He also appeared in many films and was a mimicry artist. The film columnist Sreedhar Pillai announced it on Twitter.

The Vijay TV fame comedy actor, Vadivel passed away due to illness. He had suffered a heart attack two weeks ago. Balaji had been on ventilator support for the last few days in a government hospital in Chennai and died there. He received his nickname after his big fame and popular mimicry of well-known Tamil actor Vadivelu on TV shows. He was a famous personality of shows such as Kalakka Povathu Yaaru and Adha Edgy Idhu. Vadivel also contested in a reality show Jodi Number One, season 8.

Vadivel Balaji made his film debut in the 1991 movie En Rasavin Manasile, casting Rajkiran and Meena in the lead roles. His film credits also include the 2018 hit Kolamavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara in the lead role.

Tribute to Vadivel Balaji was shared on Twitter by many actors such as Dhanush, Prasanna and Aishwarya Rajesh.
