An American musician, producer, songwriter and inventor, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen's music and life journey comes to an end. He was the lead guitarist and songwriter of American rock band Van Halen.
Rock band guitarist Eddie Van Hallen breath one's last on 6th October, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 65. His 29-year old son Wolfgang, who joined the gang as a bass player and famous for his "Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love", and " Jump", announced this on his Instagram and Twitter handle and wrote, "I can't believe I am having to write this but my father Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning." From different sources and reports, it was stated that he died in Los Angeles, with family members at his side.
A band formed in 1972 by Eddie and his brother Alex later named it "Van Halen" became a staple of Los Angeles. Van Halen won a Grammy Award in 1972 for Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocals for the album "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge".
Many people came forward to pay their tribute via Twitter.
Many other big legends of the music industry poured their heart out hearing the death news of Eddie and paid him tributes. A legend born in the Netherlands and raised in California finally departed the music industry in Los Angeles leaving all his fans shattered and heartbroken. His beautiful journey comes to an end.
