This late actor's wife slams Bollywood for the insider-outsider wrangle. Find out!

By Riddhika Chakrabarti

2020 as we all know has been a tough year for the world and especially for the Bollywood industry. The industry lost some of its most valuable and talented actors. On the 29th of April 2020, Bollywood lost a gem and suffered an immense loss. On that day we lost one of the most talented, charismatic, and above all self-made actors namely Irrfan Khan. The late actor had worked in many prominent films, some of them being Life of Pi, Angrezi Medium, The Lunchbox, Jurassic World, Slumdog Millionaire, and many more. He was an extremely well-known face in both the Bollywood and the Hollywood industry.

Recently, his wife Sutapa Sikdar addressed the social media about the insider-outsider debate. She began with the question of "Who is an outsider? " and then she said that the line between an insider and outsider is blurred and hazy. She claimed that this post of hers had no connection with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She said that "It's grey, the entire area. The messiah of outsiders. Stop this! These inside-outside theories work only in design journals!"

Continuing further she said that there is nothing like an insider and outsider. She mentioned that her late husband would have been an outsider as well but it was he who decided not to be differentiated. She revealed that Irrfan like many other actors was never invited to parties and never occupied the first page of magazines but that was never something that bothered or disturbed him. He took all the time and worked on himself till he was on the cover page of the magazine which he successfully did.

She also very firmly stated that no single person or group of people owns Bollywood. Irrfan was capable enough and he got to work in Hollywood and not just one but multiple times but no one could ever do anything to him or his reputation. The late actor Irrfan Khan's achievements can never be summed up in words. He fought a two-year battle with cancer and eventually lost but whatever he achieved in his life will forever remain unmatched.
