Union Ministry of Health develops Central teams to Punjab and Chandigarh to review health measures

The Ministry of Health said on ‘’Sunday Central teams will review Punjab and UT of Chandigarh after deploying 10 days there’’. They will stay there and maintain the record of COVID19 facilities there.
“The Ministry of Health and Family welfare quickly sent central teams to Punjab and Chandigarh to be stationed there for 10 days. The team will assist the state in a review of public health measures for containment, testing, surveillance and efficient hospital management of COVID-19’’ said PIB on twitter.
The Ministry stated that the high-level central teams will help in assisting some more preventive measures for the virus. Aim of all is to lower the rate of mortality and save crucial lives. The team which is coming is an expert, two members of the team are community medicine experts from PGIMER and there is also an epidemiologist. Tam will give professional guidance for managing COVID19.
Punjab has reported a total 60,013 cases whereas 2095 are active till date and Chandigarh is reporting 5268 cases. The Centre is supporting the state after seeing a surge in COVID19 cases. Many teams had visited in many states in the past few months.
