Vikrant Massey's film blends science and myth

With cross-genre films becoming a rather popular trend, filmmakers and actors have been going out of their ways to provide the audience with promising content.
The latest to join the league is Arati Kadav with the trailer of her film, Cargo, breaking typicality now. Starring Vikrant Massey and Shweta Tripathi in the lead, Cargo is a sci-fi rendition of the Hindu belief around human life and incarnation. Vikrant Massey plays a demon, Prahastha, who does a desk job at “Post-death transition serves” with Ms. Tripathi playing his assistant, seemingly more keen about the job than her boss.
Cargo is, for the lack of a better word, out-of-the-box. Not only does it not blow the ingenuity of the storyline out of proportion, it also makes use of a balanced and gentle approach to this combination of challengingly opposite elements.
The two actors were last seen together in Amazon Prime's popular series, Mirzapur. Cargo will stream on Netflix from September 9.
