What PM Modi has to say in the textile sector, know here!

PM Modi addressed the webinar on the textile tradition organized by ICCR on Saturday and presented his view on the textile sector.
The textile sector is one of the major sectors present in India, this is one of the sectors which provides opportunities to the mass number of people. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) organized an international webinar on the textile tradition on Saturday.PM Modi addressed this international webinar with the theme 'Weaving Relations: Textile Traditions'. According to Mr. Prime Minister, the textile sector is key to be a self-dependent India (Atmanirbhar Bharat), he added that the central government is especially paying attention to financial assistance, skills up-gradation, and integrating the sector with the latest technology. He further mentioned that the Indian textiles are highly valued worldwide.
The textile sector has always brought opportunities and, if we categorize domestically, it is among the highest job providers in India. On an international basis, the textiles sector helped to build trade and cultural relations with the world. PM Modi also included the textile history of India in his speech by mentioning the long and glorious history of silk and said that the variety of textiles shows the value of a country's culture. As the whole webinar was organized in the context of the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi PM also mentioned the close relationships that our Father of the nation saw in between the textile sector and social empowerment. Gandhi Ji also converted a normal looking ' Charkha' as a major symbol of the nation's independence movement.
